To eliminate 1,000 jobs as part of an effort to reduce costs

Allergan is restructuring and will eliminate 1,000 jobs as part of an effort to reduce costs. The job cuts will affect employees in commercial and other functions. The company is also eliminating 400 open positions. As a result, Allergan expects to save $300 to $400 million in 2018.
